Our therapeutic relationship will be a collaborative partnership, with you as the expert who has entrusted me to be a guide on your transformative journey from a cycle of being stuck and powerless to a place of knowing, empowerment and liberation.
I am strengths-based and client-centred, which means that your capacity for resiliency in the face of adversity is acknowledged, and you determine the concerns to be addressed in therapy. The frequency and number of sessions required will also be determined by you. My work is goal-oriented and focused to ensure that your therapeutic experience is worthwhile. Health and Fitness Philosophy
With extensive experience as a bodybuilding athlete and personal trainer, I strongly believe that physical fitness combined with therapy promotes optimal wellness by addressing the mind, body and spirit. Evidence-based research indicates that physical fitness and nutrition can improve mood, increase energy and enhance overall health and coping ability. I am pleased to acknowledge that physical fitness has played a positive role in my journey to wellness, and can be incorporated into our sessions, including outdoor activity when the weather permits.
The combination of my formal education, life experience and approach to living positively informs my practice as a therapist, Having overcome various life challenges, I am aware of the courage that it takes to seek help, and commit to honouring you for striving to improve your emotional well-being and live in your truth.
